You've reached the webpage of media guy Jake Edgar! If you're here, you probably got referred! More than likely by me! (Jake!)
Feel free to poke around, the site is made up pretty much of just three pages beyond the first one, and they're linked there under the underlined sections on top of each little scrolling media thing:
I tape comedy productions. Sometimes mine, sometimes yours, sometimes it's just an open mic that the masses should know about because they're good and the Chicago standup scene is worth platforming.
Not only do I just tape things, I do all the technical crew work! Links to that page are on the second menu! There you'll find links to productions I've worked on as either the gaffer, or the editor, or sound tech, or maybe all three! Depends on what the client's budget was!
The third one is a showcase of some private photography I've done! Weddings, senior portraits, family portraits, any kind of portrait really, and live event photography! If you want someone to shoot video or photos of your wedding, I'm your guy! And I'm really really cheap!!
As far as info about me goes, if you're looking to hire me for whatever reason: this is what you're hiring: A one-man production army.
I learned how to do every facet of the digital production process as a digital media student at Mizzou (class of '21). I've learned the basics and the pro-tips of film production as a freelancer hopping on small budget projects in and around Chicago since my time as an undergrad. I've worked on every side of town and I can drive to wherever you need me as long as the work is worth doing. We'll talk payment after.
You can access my gear list under the second menu link just to the left of this paragraph. I have everything a film crew needs in order to produce a film. Six cameras, three of which shoot in 4K. The others are for extra coverage. I have the lights and grip gear necessary to make any independent production look professional, and if you want me as your DP, AD, BO, G&E, or swing grip, you should have all the evidence you need to decide whether or not I'm your guy right here, to the - well now it's the upper left.
